Detective Benny Griessel is on the verge of apprehending top Cape Town crime boss Madison Madikiza. Meanwhile, Thobela Mpayipheli, seeks revenge after tragedy affects his family.
Benny leads the hunt for the killer, but a drink-fueled personal crisis threatens his new position. Thobela visits a grieving mother also failed by the justice system.
Benny investigates Reyneke's murder, putting him in grave danger from an unexpected source, while Thobela tracks down Madikiza.
Christine plots her escape but returns home to find that her daughter has been kidnapped. Meanwhile Benny sees an opportunity in putting Christine's story in the news.
Having discovered the identity of the Assegai Killer, Benny uses Bonnie to lure him out. However Benny finds his family in danger.
