Emergency Level One

On a scale of 1-5, the emergencies in this series are the lowest level -- level one. Each incident is still important and requires medical, police or fire reponse, but the emergency won't usually make breaking news since it affects fewer than four people, is contained, and doesn't immediately peak the curiosity of TV viewers or radio listeners. As the emergency is happening, you might hear about it on the traffic report. Later that day, you might see it on your local news -- if it makes a good human interest story. This series tells stories about emergencies like: two pregnant women who are involved in a car crash; a police shooting that puts a patient's life in the hands of the trauma team; a young veteran who makes it home safely from Iraq only to be gunned down in a Nashville nightclub; and a freak horse-and-buggy accident that leaves an elderly man fighting for his life.
