Screenwriter/executive producer Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Tangled, Cars) teams up with Broadway and Hollywood award-winning musical team -- composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Glenn Slater (Tangled) -- for a 4-week comedy extravaganza. Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant (Joshua Sasse) lost the love of his life, Madalena (Mallory Jansen), to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson). Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his “happily ever after.” But it won’t be without a few twists and turns along the way.

It's a new season! Richard and Galavant are shipwrecked and try to get back to Valencia so that Richard can reclaim the throne. Meanwhile, Gareth insists that he be crowned king, Isabella plots her escape from her cousin Harry, and Sid gives away the season finale.
Richard and Galavant consult a fortune teller, who puts Galavant in contact with Isabella in Hortensia. However, the messages get horribly muddled, and Isabella believes that Galavant no longer loves her. Meanwhile, Gareth and Madalena fight over decorating the throne room.
Galavant and Richard discover that the local villagers have torn down Richard's castle and used it to make a rec center. While Galavant tries to convince them to form an army to help him rescue Isabella, Richard laments what he'll do now that he isn't king. Meanwhile, Isabella meets her new wedding planner Wormwood... and he takes control of her with a magical tiara. And Madalena orders Sid to help Gareth deal with his nightmares of betraying Richard.
After avoiding a cutthroat band of mercenaries, Galavant realizes that he'd be better off without Richard and tries to set him up with Roberta. Meanwhile, Chef notices that Isabella refuses to remove Wormwood's tiara, and Madalena is invited to a Sunday Roast by the "it" family of the kingdom.
After Galavant and Richard argue about Richard''s new "dragon," they go their separate ways only to find themselves on separate sides of the giant vs. dwarf war. Meanwhile, Sid gives Gareth some advice and may live to regret it. And Isabella is freed from Wormwood's mind control tiara and goes looking for blood.
Isabella banishes Wormwood and Barry, who meet Sid in the Forest of Coincidence and learn that Valencia is ruled by a war-crazed king and queen. Meanwhile, Galavant ends up returning home and discovers that his father Arnold now runs a swordfighting school for at-risk boys.
Sid, Richard, and Roberta take the dying Galavant to Neo of Sporin, hoping for a miraculous cure. However, they're too late... or are they? Meanwhile, Wormwood incites war between Hortensia and Valencia, and Gareth and Madalena war about their feelings for each other.
Galavant tries to motivate his zombie army, while Richard and Roberta celebrate their newfound love. Meanwhile, Madalena secretly joins forces with Wormwood to learn the power of D'Dew: the Dark Dark Evil Way.
The armies of Hortensia and Valencia prepare to square off, but Galavant's zombie army changes the tide of battle... until Wormwood and Madalena use D'DEW take control of the zombies. Meanwhile, Gareth discovers that Madalena has betrayed him and confronts Richard.
Gareth joins forces with the others when Madalena betrays him by learning D'DEW. Meanwhile, Richard steps up as the One True King when Wormwood kills Tad, and isabella confronts Madalena in final battle.
