unknown.
The boys are back! Following the success of their ITV Christmas Special, Gordon, Gino and Fred's Great Christmas Roast, the boys are hitting Europe for an adventure no one will forget. This time it's personal as each episode takes us on a tour of their cherished homelands, each of them with a special occasion to prepare for. With three countries, three weeks and three coqs au vin in close confinement what could possibly go wrong? Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix hit the road to find out which of their countries does it best and immerse themselves in the most extreme adventures, competing to find the best ingredients from some of the most stunning locations. This is food on tour like never before, but will it be a case of too many cooks?
The trio try lobster diving and pastry making in Crete before visiting the hot springs of Santorini and then moving on to make traditional sausages in Mykonos.
After indulging in the unique produce of the Greek islands last week and exploring the fresh local specialities that contribute to the remarkably healthy older generation, the boys are in the Greek capital of Athens, back on the road in a vintage VW campervan. This is where high-concept cuisine originated and is still being re-invented, in a city known as the birth place of democracy and the cradle of western civilisation.
Highlights include a souvlaki showdown, racing in an ancient Olympic stadium, a visit to an award-winning bio-dynamic vineyard, sampling liquid Greek salad cocktails in one of the world's top bars, visiting bee-keeping nuns and truffle hunting with dogs amidst the gigantic rock pillar landscape of Meteora in central Greece.
