Next Episode of Guy's Family Road Trip is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
For years Guy Fieri has explored America, seeking out the best spots on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Now, he is sharing that experience with his family as they hit the road for the classic American tradition - a family road trip from sea to shining sea! On Friday, August 18th at 9pm ET/PT, Guy, his wife Lori, and his sons Hunter and Ryder load up their RV to hit the road on a vacation they will never forget. From rafting in the Grand Canyon to rolling down Route 66, and from creole cooking in New Orleans to pit stops stuffed with campfire feasts, Guy's Family Road Trip is full of great food, iconic locations and big adventure!
The first leg of the trip takes the Fieris from their home in northern California to Lake Tahoe, where decadent Belgian waffles fuel a day of mountain biking.
In Flagstaff, the Fieris head to a farmers' market for fresh organic chicken and roasted green chiles; cooking a homemade chicken taco dinner on a Lake Powell houseboat; after some quirky stops along legendary Route 66, they land in Albuquerque, N.M.
A feast of tri-tip French dip, pork tacos, spatchcock chicken and Cajun chicken alfredo to thank the troops for their service; Guy and his son Hunter skydive with special forces; a cowboy cookout of smoked nilgai antelope and all the fixings.
The Fieris rise at dawn in Corpus Christi, Texas, to head out on the Gulf in search of snapper. Luckily the fishing is good, and they take their catch to a nearby ranch. Guy Fieri and his friends fry up the fish, along with some chicken parmesan, for an evening feast. In New Orleans, Guy searches for the perfect po'boy in the back of an off-the-beaten path grocery store, before visiting Johnny Sanchez, where chef Aarón Sánchez shows Guy how to make ceviche and a soft-shell crab sandwich. A canoe tour of the bayou followed by a festive crawfish boil round out this leg of the road trip.
The Fieris stop in Fairhope, Alabama to visit their friend Panini Pete and see one of the most unusual farming operations in the country: oysters! Guy and Hunter wade into the Gulf to harvest the oysters for a local pop-up dinner. Guy takes Hunter and Ryder to Punta Clara Kitchen to make old-fashioned candies from scratch before they head for Florida. There, the Fieris explore the Everglades by airboat and cook a feast of frog legs and fried gator before ending their epic adventure on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Miami.
