Pavia, late Eighties. Max loves comics and American music. He is a maverick in a city where there is nothing to rebel against. In addition, after having neglected high school to follow new friendships and punk evenings, the rejection inevitably arrives. This failure actually turns out to be a new, fatal opportunity: moving to a new school, he meets a new classmate, Mauro. Music makes them inseparable. Thanks to the driving force of Mauro, Max embraces his talent and together with him composes the first songs that will be produced by Claudio Cecchetto. But when success overwhelms them, will Max and Mauro, so different, be able to stay united?
Max knows that, having failed his exams, he's in for a boring summer, but everything changes when Silvia asks him out and he makes her a promise.
Mauro Repetto meets Max at school and convinces him to help him: they have to give his mixtape to a famous DJ, but it won't be as easy as it seems.
Max and Mauro are invited to play on television but there is a problem: the performance is the day before the oral test of the final exam!
Max and Mauro have opposite ideas and argue, is it the end of their friendship? Max meets again Silvia, now trapped in a boring relationship, and has an idea…
An important producer wants to make an 883 album! Max and Mauro only have a few days in Milan to write and record the album, will it be enough?
The return to Pavia could be a failure but provincial life will inspire Max and Mauro to write a song that could change everything.
883 wrote the hit of the summer of 1992 but nobody knows who they are. A tour will force Max and Mauro to invent their own way of performing.
Now that they have achieved success, 883 are ready for the event of the summer: the end of season concert at Aquafan in Riccione!
