Feel Good follows Mae, a rising talent on the stand-up circuit and recovering addict whose addictive behaviors and intense romanticism dominate every single part of her life. When she meets pragmatic—but so far heterosexual—George she's smitten, and much to her surprise George feels the same. They embark on an intoxicating romance as Mae juggles relationships with her parents, fellow addicts in a drugs support group, her colleagues at the local stand up club, and most importantly tries to transform her relationship with George from an addictive one to a healthy one. But the real question is can Mae replace a toxic addiction to love with love itself.
In Canada, Mae tries rehab and reconnects with someone from her past. Meanwhile, a despondent George searches for a purpose in her life without Mae.
Back in England, Mae is devastated to learn that George has moved on — and disastrously attempts to have a platonic friendship with her.
An awkward dinner with George's old friends becomes contentious after Mae receives a disturbing phone call, then picks a fight with Binky.
Mae can't wait to go on a TV show and expose a star's sexually inappropriate behavior. But George and Phil worry about how this will affect her.
In pain and withdrawing from the world, Mae begins doing stand-up shows from her living room. Meanwhile, George tries to carve some space for herself.
Mae, George and Phil fly to Toronto, where Mae plans to confront her past head-on. Once there, she faces challenges including her parents' interference.
