Jonathan Hart is a self-made millionaire and the CEO of Hart Industries, a global conglomerate. His wife Jennifer is a beautiful freelance journalist. Living the jetset lifestyle, the glamorous couple spend their free time as amateur detectives. At their opulent California home, they are assisted by Max, their loyal, gravelly-voiced butler, cook, and chauffeur who also helps out in their "cases." The Hart's beloved pet dog is "Freeway".
During a trip to London with Jonathan, Jennifer reluctantly becomes both lady luck and carrier pigeon to a mysterious baron whom she later learns has spirited a fortune away from the British government -- and she's holding the bag that everyone wants!
Jonathan faces danger at Jennifer's reunion when a man from her past decides to be the only man in her future.
At a theme park the Harts witness the death of a stuntman who is shot with a gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks.
