In this series two young doctors, Daan and Arend fight for the only training spot at the hospital "Klein Venetië". Internist Julie has to caoch the turbulent men. But they didn't only fight for a training spot. The young doctors, as it happens, also fell for the charms of Julie. The never ending conflict with the father of Julie and the director of the hospital, Emile Senff, makes her work more complicated.
The doctors have been well trained all three, but inexperienced. The confrontation with contemporary medical problems appeals to their medical skills, individuality and especially with mutual solidarity.
In the out-of-date but sympathetic hospital values dominate such as attention and environment. Director Emile Senff has been persuaded that people won't get better in a patient factory. The marching efficiency and the coherent need for process of enlargement places people of the hospital under pressure heavily.
