Next Episode of Holiday Homes in the Sun is
unknown.
Amanda Lamb, JB Gill and Sam Pinkham travel the UK and Europe searching for their favourite Holiday Homes in the Sun.
In the first episode, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, competing to find their favourite holiday rental for a beach holiday around Costa Teguise.
Every year, nearly three million tourists descend on Lanzarote to enjoy the sunshine, sandy beaches, amazing watersports and gorgeous holiday homes - which is handy, as we've uncovered four of our favourites.
Sam's option is a small but perfectly formed villa for two, with a chic interior, swimming pool, hot tub and breathtaking location. JB opts for a secret garden escape that's a little further from the coast. But will the amazing garden and great indoor facilities make up for the half-hour walk to the beach? Amanda's choice is very special indeed - a traditional Mongolian yurt! Sleeping six, this getaway is bursting with charm inside, and has a shower hut, shared pool and barbeque outside.
But will the mystery holiday home trump them all? It's a modern villa that's just minutes from the beach. It has a clean finish inside, but with charming upcycled furniture to give character.
In this episode, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in Mataró on the Costa del Maresme, just a short journey north from Barcelona, competing to find their favourite holiday rentals for a traditional Catalonian escape.
When most people think of a Catalan holiday, their minds immediately jump to Barcelona or the Costa Brava. But our terrific trio head to Mataró to see four incredible traditional Catalan holiday homes.
JB shows us a townhouse in the heart of town that's only a short jaunt from the beach. Sam brings a touch of the artistic with a unique home tucked away deep in the mountains above the Mediterranean. Amanda's choice aims to appeal to the inner child of JB and Sam with a house built for fun-filled, action-packed activities in the garden, but will the interior let it down?
And then there's the mystery property, a casita in the heart of the Catalan countryside perfect for a romantic retreat. With four incredible, and incredibly different, properties to choose from, which will be crowned the favourite for a traditional Catalan escape?
In this episode, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are heading to the Dordogne, near Bordeaux in the heart of French wine country, competing to find the best countryside retreat.
The Dordogne Valley, famously known as the ‘valley of 1,001 chateaux', is a perfect holiday destination for outdoor enthusiasts, history buffs, and lovers of cheese and wine, so they've found four of the best holiday homes in the area to cater for every taste.
Amanda's house is nestled deep in wine country, surrounded by vineyards and boasts an impressive pool and period décor. Sam opts for a beautifully refurbished goathouse in the grounds of a chateau with space for the family and acres of land to relax in. JB's property is perfect for a big family getaway, with five bedrooms, and a pool and games room, but will its remote location hurt its chances?
Then there's the mystery property, a jaw-dropping eco-friendly hideaway in the remote forests of rural France. Will it win the day or be beaten by the more traditional offerings? With all four sunny holiday homes offering such different experiences, which will be the winner?
This time, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in Woolacombe on the north Devon coast, competing to find the perfect holiday home for a coastal break.
Woolacombe may have a population of less than 1,000, but every year thousands of surfers, swimmers and beach bums descend upon its shores to soak up some of the best seas Britain has to offer.
Sam starts us off with an old-school Airstream caravan nestled in the hills above Woolacombe with a hot tub and commanding views, but will its size be its downfall? Further inland, Amanda pulls out all the stops with an incredible house perfect for a pair of couples and filled to the brim with homely touches. Meanwhile, JB opts for an apartment overlooking the bay with space for the kids and a terrace with stunning views.
Then there's our mystery property, a beachfront house with everything from a hot tub to a jukebox that has the potential to make our trio face the music and accept they've been beaten. All four properties promise a perfect coastal Devon getaway, but which one will come out on top?
In this episode, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in Sintra in the mountains close to Lisbon, competing to find the perfect traditional Portuguese holiday home.
Sintra used to be the holiday destination of Portugal's royals and aristocracy, but today it's a popular tourist destination boasting restaurants, hotels, and views worthy of royalty.
Amanda's option is a stunning house in the hills of old Sintra with commanding views down the valley, at least two castles for neighbours, and a period interior style. Sam takes us to a five-bedroom ultra-chic house nestled deep in the country, with a pool, a kitchen big enough to entertain in, and views down to the sea. JB opts for a quieter getaway, a couple's retreat with easy access to nearby amenities, traditional styling and an infinity pool, but will its cost and lack of extras be its downfall?
Then there's the mystery property, a house in a lovingly restored village hidden away in the mountains outside Sintra. All four sunny holiday homes offer a taste of traditional Portuguese life. But which one be crowned king of Sintra getaways?
In the sixth episode of the series, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in Empuriabrava, the Venice of the Costa Brava, looking at four incredible holiday homes that would be perfect for a family escape.
Nestled in the Gulf of Roses in the far north of Catalonia, Empuriabrava is a purpose-built tourist town featuring some of Europe's most magnificent though less well known canals, so it's the perfect place for a family getaway.
Amanda starts us off with an incredible rockstar pad with a private pool and jetty so you can explore the water as well as the countryside. Sam brings a touch of class with an apartment in a classic building that's picture-perfect with period touches. But will the shared spaces and lack of privacy bring it down? JB shows off a small but chic apartment with a private terrace and stunning features.
Finally, there's the mystery property, which is a large house for the whole family nestled in a vineyard in the Catalan mountains. With four amazing sunny options on display, which will win and be named the perfect family holiday home?

Amanda's option is a family getaway that has a private pool and loads of garden activities for the kids. Sam brings us to the heart of Bergerac with a 500-year-old two-bedroom house that gives the wow factor.

JB's property sits deep in the country and boasts incredible finishes, fourposter beds and a large private pool, and it's dripping with wow factor.

JB brings us to a bijou guesthouse with a stunning garden, wine cellar, and access to the French cooking skills of the owner. Then, Sam shows us a stunning apartment in the town of Liborne. Its modern interior and imposing period exterior may clash, but will it have what it takes to pull out a win?
