With their favorite properties to choose from, Holmes gets these home buyers to use their heads, in addition to their hearts and gives them the tools they need to make the most important purchase of their lives.
Mike Holmes travels to the beautiful island of Hilton Head, South Carolina, to advise first time homebuyers Caroline and Diego Mahecha during their search for the perfect family home. With their favorites selected, Mike will go through the houses with the couple to identify issues that could be detrimental to the family and their children. Can Mike help them find the perfect house that is both safe and meets the family's needs?
In St. Anthony, Minnesota, Rhonda and Leo Bogee are looking for a home that's both within their budget and perfect for their four-member family. They have two growing sons and they need just the right place. It's contractor Mike Holmes to their rescue, going through the houses, pointing out the pros and cons and ultimately teaching Rhonda and Leo how to buy with confidence and a solid plan.
Mike makes his way to Minneapolis, Minnesota, ready to help Nick and Samantha choose a new home. But this is no ordinary buy, Sam and Nick are looking at brand new houses and many have yet to be lived in, which means all the more reason to bring along the King of Contractors.

As the home tours go on, Nicole and Tariq learn how to determine what's good, fixable and unacceptable.
In Brooklyn Park, Minn. Jake and Lindsay want to buy an invest home, and they show their favorites to Mike who helps them see the good, the bad and the ugly in order to get the best house for their money.
Mike travels to Denver to help single mother Terrie find the right house; Terrie's friend, Angie, who is one of Mikes biggest fans, tags along; Mike demonstrates how to identify problems that could turn a dream house into a huge nightmare.
Sisters Michelle and Sonia run Miracles Outreach to house girls who have aged out of the foster program, and they need a new house and Mikes help; Mike assesses their prospective houses to help them find a home that is worth their investment.
Mike heads to St. Petersburg, Fla., to help first-time home buyers Heather and Jay; along with Heather's young son, the couple plans to move into the best house they can find within their budget.
In Aurora, Colorado, Mike lends a helping hand to newlyweds Ambera and Clayton. They're looking for a home but with Clayton's busy work schedule, Ambera's house-hunting partner will be her sister Rhanee, who will be living with the newlyweds. After Mike tours the family's favorite homes with Ambera and Rhanee, the women share all the info with Clayton so the trio can make a smart buy.
Colorado newlyweds Jennifer and Matt live on a ranch in Boulder, but the ranch belongs to Jennifer's grandfather and it's time for the young couple to find their own home. After choosing possible houses in the Denver region, they tour the structures with Mike, who shows them how to tell whether a home is a good buy or if it's a house that deserves a "goodbye".
Newlyweds Andie and Pete are ready to buy their first home in Englewood, Colorado. They've been shopping for a long time and have seen over 100 houses, but they either lose in the bidding process or feel the homes aren't solid enough for their future plans. Mike steps in and tours their chosen homes and shows the couple what's worth a good bid and what's worth walking away from.
