Competition is fierce in the hotel business. Online review sites can kill a business' reputation with one bad review. Staffs are untrained, surly or apathetic in a profession that lives or dies on service. So what's a struggling hotel operator to do? Bring in Anthony Melchiorri, a hotel "fixer," who can turn any establishment around in weeks ... and he does just that in Hotel Impossible.
Anthony is called in to turn around a failing hostel plagued by grime, safety issues, and an assistant manager who doesn't see any of the problems.
Anthony tries to help out the Sandy Shore Motel in Rhode Island, and finds himself up against a bully of an owner and a utility closet full of moldy water.
Anthony takes on the Winter Haven Suites in Florida, which has problems due to an absentee owner and a lack of management.
Anthony helps two motels in Libby, MT: The Sandman and the Evergreen. A couple owns the first motel and their son owns the second. The Evergreen is going under and if Anthony doesn't resolve the personal issues between the family members, there may be no saving the motel.
In Branson, Missouri, Anthony tries to get the Colonial Mountain Inn out of debt. However, first he has to survive a potential deathtrap when he finds a two-story breezeway with an unlocked door.
Anthony has to deal with an abusive owner at the Bossier Inn & Suites in Bossier City, LA. The rooms stink, the pool is filthy, and the housekeepers are underpaid.
The 48-room Kauai Inn in Hawaii isn't doing well, because of the divide between the owners living out of state, and their son and daughter-in-law who run the place on a day by day basis. Anthony has to convince the owners to rent the hotel to their son so that he can stand on his own two feet.
The Trade Winds Inn in Rockland, Maine, has a confusing layout and the original owner won't let go of the reins and let his daughter manage the place. To save the hotel, Anthony has to deal with all of the code violations in the buildings while convincing the owner to step back.
Anthony deals with the low-energy owner of the Bradford Inn in Towanda, Pa. Anthony is surprised to learn that the owner has no experience and no idea of what he needs to do to get his inn back on track.
Anthony tires to help out the Big Bear Motel in Cody, WY, and finds a dysfunctional family, mediocre rooms, and a bed bug problem.
Anthony tries to bail out a failing hotel in San Juan Batista when a dominating mother threatens to bring the property down and lose her dead husband's legacy.
Anthony heads to Alaska to help the Anchorage Lofts Hotel, and finds a couple on the rocks because the husband micromanages the property and puts down his wife in front of the employees.
