Animal Planet's new series, Insane Pools: Off the Deep End, follows award-winning pool designer Lucas Congdon as he turns high and dry homes into exotic waterfront properties through grand, nature-inspired designs to encourage his clients to rediscover their love of the outdoors.
Lucas builds a giant pool for a friend turned client. He then creates a dream backyard complete with a dock, large cascading waterfalls, firepit, and an audio/visual entertainment swim-up bar.
Lucas is back at it again delivering a paradise backyard. On his first ever collaboration with a local design team, Lucas creates a tropical oasis complete with an island, one of the largest grotto rocks he's ever used and a Tiki-themed cabana!
Lucas is tasked with a challenging project - repair and remodel an unusable pool for a famous golfing family. Puzzled as to how this pool was even built, Lucas creates an ocean-themed pool with fire features, an infinity edge and a water couch!
Lucas heads west to Bountiful, UT to build a dream backyard on the side of a mountain. Faced with many challenges, Lucas creates a Tuscan themed pool with a spa, the biggest linear fire wall he's ever built and a grotto with a 23,000 pound lid!
Golfer J.B. Holmes says he never wants to grow up, but his wife wants relaxation; challenged with making this two-in-one staycation fun-filled destination, Lucas creates a sports area, blissful sun shelf, and his first covered slide.
A dedicated caregiver gets her lifelong wish of having her own pool. Lucas faces the pressure of not only building a dream pool, but has to create it in a small backyard. The team transforms the family's yard into a little oasis with big potential.
Lucas is tasked with creating a Mediterranean resort with a Caribbean twist for a client's wedding anniversary. The team builds a paradise dream complete with a 30-person infinity edge spa, over 10 fire features, and his first ever outdoor gym!
The crew heads to Plantation, FL to bring Costa Rica to a young family's home. Lucas builds the ultimate jungle backyard that includes a beach volleyball court, a huge swim-in grotto and a spa complete with a giant water wall and a rain curtain!
Pool designer Lucas Congdon and his crew travel to Tampa, Florida, to build the most epic, adrenaline-filled backyard pool to date! He's creating two pools in one backyard with a nearly nine-foot high spa, two in-pool pergolas, his first-ever fire feature inside a grotto and a treehouse with a theme-park-sized slide. The project comes with a few challenges, however, when the clients request a last-minute addition and the sheer size of the pool becomes problematic.
Lucas Congdon faces an epic challenge building a pool fit for a Roman palace on the Gulf of Mexico. He journeys far outside his comfort zone and even taps Emperor Caesar for inspiration on his quest to fulfill his clients' dream of living in a castle by the sea.
