Iron Chef Showdown begins by pitting two of the most formidable chefs in the country against each other in The Chairman's Challenge, where they must create their best dish based upon a secret ingredient. Host Alton Brown serves as the sole judge to determine which chef will earn the right to face a legendary Iron Chef in the Secret Ingredient Showdown. Then, it's "Allez Cuisine!" as Japanese tradition comes back to life in Kitchen Stadium with Alton, The Chairman Mark Dacascos, floor reporter Jaymee Sire and a notable pantheon of culinary experts who sit in judgment over the epic battles.
Florida chef Lindsay Autry tries to stuff Chicago chef Matt Kerney over ingredients from America's favorite holiday. The winner faces Iron Chef Bobby Flay in a tense showdown judged by John Besh and Antonia Lofaso.
San Francisco chef Hiroo Nagamura takes on Los Angeles chef David Schlosser. The chef with the best first-round dish sizes up Iron Chef Michael Symon in a battle featuring a perfect protein, and judges Niki Nakayama and Caroline Styne pick the winner.
Rival Boston chefs Matt Jennings and Kristen Kish settle an old grudge in a head-to-head match over a cured classic. Roy Choi and Antonia Lofaso judge as the winning chef faces Iron Chef Jose Garces, who comes out swinging over an Italian favorite.
New York chef Leah Cohen takes on rival Boston chef Marcellus Coleman, and the winner cases Iron Chef Stephanie Izard in Kitchen Stadium. The guest judges are Lesley Bargar Suter and Simon Majumdar.
The holidays hit Kitchen Stadium as Los Angeles chef Ted Hopson faces Detroit chef Kate Williams in a sweet showdown. The winning chef goes up against Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli in a classic holiday battle.
New Orleans chef Brian Landry cooks off against Chicago chef Ryan McCasky using a super decadent ingredient. The winning chef gets a shot against Iron Chef Stephanie Izard in a deep-sea duel.
Alabama chef David Bancroft crosses knives with New York chef Roxanne Spruance over the most favorite of fruits. The winning chef takes on Iron Chef Jose Garces in a meaty matchup.
Miami chef Timon Balloo battles Philadelphia chef Nicholas Elmi over a bar food staple. Then the winning chef goes up against Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli in a giant seafood battle.
Portland's own Chef Gregory Gourdet takes on San Diego chef Brian Redzikowski over a challenging fruit. Then the winner readies for a fowl battle with Iron Chef Michael Symon that's judged by Judy Joo and Simon Majumdar.
