Together, they discuss the need for peace so that the system has time to work. Not stopping there, Iyanla hosts a community discussion, sits down with a group of young men—some of whom profess to be gang members—and makes her way past National Guard checkpoints to join a peaceful protest with community leaders and Welcome to Sweetie Pie's star Tim Norman. Later, as a first healing step, Iyanla encourages everyone to choose peace.
