The story takes place in the idyllic Spulne, where three elderly women are brutally murdered. To solve the case, it is decided to use the most serious means: detectives Jackson and Malone from the all-powerful Extreme Crime Combat Service. As the pair are drawn deeper and deeper into the world of the striking residents of Spulne, they will eventually have to face their own demons to unravel the mystery.
The new mayor of Spulne is inaugurated, but a dark discovery immediately presents the mayor with a challenge. The EMB is involved in the investigation into what happened.
The file on Spulnen residents with a criminal record provides clues. Madame Mouli receives an important visitor. Lex discovers something interesting. And does chaplain Lindemann tell you everything?
Rianne tries to relax. Rik becomes further frustrated with the village and the EMB. And Mouli is dissatisfied with Malone's performance.
A new discovery leads to a tough interrogation. Dustin talks about the previous spiritual father of the village. And what does Rianne do with her father at night?
Malone struggles with his previous mission. Lex tries to force a breakthrough. A tragic event puts Jackson and Malone further on track.
