Next Episode of James Martin's American Adventure is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
James Martin heads across the Atlantic to discover more about America and its signature dishes. Traveling West to East from LA to New York, James explores some of the icons of American food as well as discovering hidden treasures, way off the beaten track. James will reveal that contrary to what we might think we know about American cuisine, this vast country is actually home to some of the best food to be found anywhere on the planet.
James Martin's American Adventure brings James to Salem on the East Coast of the USA. This town was made famous by the witch trials of 1692, and things get spooky as James is visiting on the approach to Hallo'ween! We hear from Salem's official witch Laurie Cabot; meanwhile, James meets a love clairvoyant and her dogs! Salem isn't just about witchcraft, though; James visits a unique spice shop, meets a seafood artist, and makes a stop at a family-run seafood restaurant offering shellfish heaven!
The East Coast stretch of James Martin's American Adventure takes him to The Hamptons. Known as being the playground of wealthy New Yorkers, the area has a rich farming history; James taps into this by visiting Amber Waves Farm, where he borrows their outdoor pizza oven to cook for the farmers using seasonal local produce. James also visits The Dock House in Sag Harbor to try one of the best seafood chowders around before joining a fishing boat to cook an impressive lobster speciality.
James Martin's American Adventure continues with a visit to Philadelphia. 'The City of Brotherly Love' is the perfect backdrop for his foodie adventure, with Reading Terminal Market providing all manner of ingredients for both of his cooks and its own kitchen! James ditches the car to take a tour of the city's famous murals, but vehicles with more power await! After a spin in one, he visits 'Charlie Was A Sinner', a restaurant at the forefront of Philadelphia's upcoming movement of vegan eating.
James ends his epic coast-to-coast exploration of the great US of A with a visit to one of his all-time favourite foodie hotspots: New York City. After a bite of pizza at a popular pizzeria in Greenwich Village, James cooks on one of New York's famous piers, takes a bite of the action at two of his favourite French fine dining restaurants, and cooks on the pier again at the end of a glorious day in the Big Apple as sunset approaches and he reminisces on his journey of over three thousand miles.
