After discovering a dusty old lamp in her family home, Jamillah is transported by a magical genie to a ancient world.
In the first episode of the second series, The Sultan's most treasured pet - his nightingale - dies leaving the Sultan racked with grief. The Vizier then decides that since the Sultan is sad that everyone should be sad, and bans all smiling and fun from Baghdad. Jamillah decides that this is a foolish rule and that the only way to break it is to prove to the Sultan that he can be happy again. When Jamillah remembers the mp3 player that she has in her pocket she decides to organise a flash mob in the market square where more than one unlikely person volunteers to join in, all for the sake of making the Sultan smile.
Aladdin is arrested for a crime he definitely didn't commit, only everyone, including the Vizier, saw him do it. Jamillah arrives to find Aladdin in jail, and the Vizier says he is to be charged for stealing the key to the treasury. But Aladdin swears he was nowhere near the treasury and he has no idea where the key is. Jamillah does some investigating along with Genie and Kevin the Talking Treasure Bird and they discover that the Shapeshifter has impersonated Aladdin and stolen the key. Together they work to stop the Shapeshifter and free Aladdin.
Genie must have his magic inspected every so often in order to keep his license and be able to pracitise magic. Usually he's not worried but this time he finds out that it's old school rival Saadia giving the test and even worse he's not allowed to use his spellbook! Jamillah and Aladdin help him out with the tests but then at the last one Saadia puts them both in danger and says that Genie must use his magic to keep them from harm in order to pass. Genie pulls out all his best moves in order to save his beloved masters.
Al Cruelle, fashion advisor to the stars, comes to Baghdad to start a chicken beauty contest. Aladdin is excited to enter Warqa in for the test and is thrilled when Warqa wins. But then Al Cruelle reveals the prize - Warqa will be made into a feather cape! She snatches Warqa away and Jamillah, Aladdin and Genie must work out a way to save her. They dress up as rival fashion advisors and manage to distract her long enough to get Warqa back but then Al Cruelle's guards chase after them. Together they work to defeat Al Cruelle once and for all.
Aladdin and Jamillah are walking through the market when they spot their old enemy, Simsim. They run but he catches up with them to say that all he wants is to be forgiven for his past crimes and proceeds to make it up to them with presents and good deeds. They're convinced but Genie isn't, he still thinks that Simsim is up to something. The kids think that Genie is just jealous because Simsim is doing spells better than Genie ever could. But then Simsim traps Genie in his lamp and puts the kids under his spell and his true purpose for coming back to Baghdad is revealed, he wants revenge. Genie must break out of his lamp and duel Simsim in an epic magic battle if he ever hopes to save the kids and stop Simsim for good.
Baghdad is in crisis after a drought leaves everyone in a panic. In an effort to appear like he's taking control, the Vizier consults the seer who blames it on a missing frog from the well. When it turns out that Aladdin has a frog, the Vizier uses this as an opportunity to banish Aladdin from Baghdad, claiming that will help bring the water back. Now it's up to Jamillah and Genie to save him.
Razin has to go out of town and leave his shop, so Aladdin and Jamillah offer to run the shop for him. It's fun but very busy work and they end up not paying as much attention to the things being sold as they should have. They soon realise that they've accidentally sold something that could be fatal - will they be able to get it back in time?
Aladdin is hungry, so Jamillah comes up with a plan and invites everyone in Baghdad to try stone soup- a soup made from everyone's contributions. It's a huge success and after Jamillah and Genie finish dishing it out they settle down to try some, only to realise that everyone else is asleep! Genie realises that he put the wrong ingredient in, can he make the fix in time?
The Sultan and the Vizier decide that it's time for the Princess to marry and so they set up a contest for eligible suitors. The Princess doesn't want to get married yet and so she asks Jamillah, Aladdin and Genie for help. Jamillah decides to add Aladdin to the contest and suddenly the game is on.
The Sultan's long lost brother, Jafar, returns to Baghdad and the Sultan immediately announces that he will be giving the throne to him. Jamillah is suspicious, she doesn't believe that Jafar is who he says he is and neither, as it turns out, does the Vizier. Together they work to discover who Jafar really is before it's too late.
After a terrible dream, the Sultan becomes convinced that his daughter is in danger, so he decides to send her away from Baghdad forever. The Princess comes to Jamilah and Aladdin asking for their help and together with Genie they hatch a scheme to convince the Sultan that she is safe and that she should stay.
Aladdin and Jamillah argue over who is the smartest, so Genie designs a competition to answer it once and for all by hiding a compass in the middle of a desert and setting them both the task of finding it. They fly out to the desert on the magic carpet but then discover that the carpet has stranded them there. Now they'll have to use their wits if they want to get back to Baghdad.
Genie, Aladdin and Jamillah pack to go on a picnic on the flying carpet but when they get on they discover Genie is suddenly afraid of heights. Can they help him overcome his fear?
An emissary from a far-off land comes to Baghdad with a sword trapped in a stone, claiming that only the next ruler of his home can pull it out. Everyone is shocked when Jamillah pulls it out, and is crowned as a princess. It's fun for a while, until the emissary tells her she'll have to leave Baghdad and her family behind. So Aladdin and Genie come up with a plan to help her escape her royal mess.
Genie gets the flu and causes havoc in Baghdad when his sneezes start performing magic all over the place. The Shapeshifter sees her opportunity to steal Genie's powers once and for all.
The Vizier hires a nasty genie hunter for Baghdad, so Jamillah and Aladdin hide Genie away until it's safe. Only problem is, they can't remember where they hid him!
