Next Episode of Janet King is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Created as a spin-off from the 2011 legal drama Crownies. Janet King follows the story of Senior Crown Prosecutor Janet King, tracing her journey in Series 1 in the Department of Public Prosecutions to a Royal Commission into Serious Firearm Crime in Series 2 to the National Crime Commission in Series 3.
When a man shot dead on Australia Day marks 19 shooting deaths in the past 15 months, the attorney general asks Janet to head a royal commission into gun crime. Before she begins work on the commission, Janet finishes up an inquest into the suicide of an army corporal suffering from PTSD.
After the drive-by shooting at the Nobakht's, the Royal Commission focuses on the origin of George Healy's gun and the money Todd left behind - leading to a dead body and a link to Ash's murder.
After discovering the gun used in the drive-by was used in Ash's killing and the kneecapping of gambling addict Felix Murphy, the Commission launches an undercover operation to find out who shot Felix.
When the team discovers a link between Todd's murder and the PTSD case, Janet calls in Lance Corporal Parker and Major Hamilton for questioning. Janet meets with her paternal donor, but his position on the embryos is not what she had expected.
With increasing political pressure for the Royal Commission to deliver results, and the container full of handguns so far yielding nothing, Janet is forced to fast-track the undercover mission.
The undercover operation goes awry, with deadly consequences. Her cover blown, Bianca offers protection to Felix. Janet, Richard, and Lina prepare for their anti-corruption hearing.
Despite solving Todd Wilson's murder, the political pressure on Janet culminates in a dilemma: she must either step down or suspend the Royal Commission.
With her Royal Commission suspended, Janet has to fight off the State Corruption watchdog, her political enemies, and ultimately, Ash's killer.
