Documentary following the Kinahans from a small-time street-dealing gang in 80s Dublin to its status today as one of the world's most feared crime organisations. It's a story of underworld feuding, double-dealing, betrayal and gangland assassinations, from the streets of Ireland and the UK to the Netherlands, Spain, Dubai and America.
Today, the United States has a $5 million bounty on the heads of senior cartel members, godfather Christopher 'Christy' Kinahan and his two sons Daniel and Christy Junior. The cartel is wanted for drugs and firearms trafficking, money laundering and murder. To date, Daniel and Christy Junior have never been convicted of any serious crimes, and all three Kinahans remain at large.
The Kinahan story starts almost half a century ago in inner-city Dublin, where Christy Kinahan Senior emerged as a heroin trafficker, before moving to the Netherlands in the 1990s. There, he built his crime gang into a cartel, shifting hundreds of millions of pounds worth of drugs. At the same time, his sons Daniel and Christy Junior were being primed by their father to join the family business.

Things start to go wrong for the cartel when it is blamed for a number of murders, attracting the attention of the police in Spain and Ireland. Among the victims is Gary Hutch, who was shot dead after falling out with Daniel Kinahan. When the Hutch organised crime group responds by trying to kill Kinahan, a gang war erupts, leaving 18 people dead. Meanwhile, Daniel takes his first steps in the world of professional boxing.

Police in the UK and Ireland are on a mission take down senior cartel members and hitmen. The UK's National Crime Agency sets out to try to stop this faction and its feared boss Thomas 'Bomber' Kavanagh.
