Andrei, an unsuccessful startup, takes a job as a teacher at his native school because of debts. There he meets his longtime love Olya.

Andrei wants to sell the house, but he needs permission from his imprisoned father. The enterprising son starts teaching in the colony.

Andrei makes a deal with an official to make the legend work in order to sell the house. Pasha, Oli's husband, takes a paternity test.

Andrei announces that he is going to open a Pushkin museum in his house. Pasha causes a scandal for Ole because of the DNA test result.

Tanya, Oli's daughter, declares to Andrei that she will live with him. Pasha complains to the head of the colony about problems in his family life.

Andrei brings the students to the sawmill to give a lesson together with the prisoners. He introduces Tanya to the surprised father.

The wounded Andrei is brought to the hospital. Outraged parents demand that the teacher be held responsible for the lesson with the prisoners.

Andrei tries to correct the mistakes he has made. He enlists the help of students and prisoners to get Ola's job back.
