Next Episode of La Ruta is
unknown.
La Ruta is the journey of a group of friends from El Perelló, from their farewell in a crowded Ruta Destroy, in 1993, until the day they entered Barraca for the first time, in 1981, when both they and "the party" they still preserved their innocence. La Ruta recounts the more than ten years that Valencia spent dancing, a few years that we would all like to live and that only a few can remember.
1993. Marc, a famous DJ from the well-known Ruta del Bakalao, closes a deal to play in Ibiza. That night, therefore, will be the last time he plays at Puzzle, the Valencian discotheque where he has been a DJ resident and which is run by his good friend Sento. The rest of his friends - Toni, Nuria, Vero - gather to see him play and say goodbye to him. Throughout that night, Marc debates whether or not to go to Ibiza as he enters a spiral of self-destruction. It is the decadence of La Ruta and of Marc himself.
1991. Two years earlier. Marc and Toni are now a couple and live together. He is obsessed with the track he is preparing to show to Rulo while she works in a hotel frequented by Routers. Throughout that day, when Marc will play his track for the first time at N.O.D., the discotheque run by Sento, both Marc and Toni face their own ghosts, two siblings, Lucas and Vero, who have marked their lives forever.
1989. Marc, supported by Toni, debuts as a DJ at the ACTV discotheque where he tries to revive his brother's spirit, even dressing like him. Meanwhile, Carmen, his mother, still mourning the loss of Lucas, finds solace in a techno priest and fan of her son, who unknowingly gives her the key to overcome her loss and grief. Sento and Nuria, meanwhile, continue their constant tug of war while he tries to find the drummer of the Stones Roses in Benidorm.
1987. Marc has just graduated and, thanks to his professor, has landed a job interview at a multinational technology company. A promising future awaits him, but an encounter with his brother Lucas will completely change those plans. Just like Toni and the rest of the group plans.
Sento witnesses Marc and Lucas' car accident and, to protect his friend, decides to lie and assure the police that Lucas was driving. Marc, however, feels guilty and hesitates to confess while Nuria discovers that there are more people who know the truth and are willing to denounce him.
New Year's Eve 1985. The whole group celebrates at Spook while facing their own conflicts: Toni to reunion with someone from his past, Lucas to his attraction for Enric, Marc to his fascination for his brother and integration into the group and Sento and Nuria to their inability to be friends after their comings and goings. And all of this, in the confessional of any self-respecting party: the bathrooms.
The group celebrate the farewell of Sento, who is leaving to military service. Nuria, who doesn't want to leave his side, turns to her parents to get them to use their contacts and give him an exemption. What she doesn't know is that Sento has his own hidden motives to go to the army... Marc, by himself, tries to integrate into the group and notices the fascination that his brother Lucas provokes in all of them, especially in Toni.
1981. Marc is 16 years old and Lucas has already turned 18. Both adapt to their new life in Sueca, a Valencian town, where their parents have decided to move and where nobody knows the family secret they are dragging along. There, in the middle of the Fallas, Lucas and Marc will meet Toni, Nuria and Sento. And thanks to them, Lucas will set foot for the first time in a discotheque, Barraca, a place where he will finally be able to be himself.
