‘What people do you know who can party through all of the earth's elements?'

2017. Carnival is here. The streets of Notting Hill are alive with history and amidst the soca, sequins and endless feathers, Jade and Nadine are fighting for space in a world that should be theirs. A timely echo of Caribbean resistance across centuries, J'Ouvert is a joyful and fearless story of two best friends, battling to preserve tradition in a society where women's bodies are frequently under threat.

Filmed on the stage of the Harold Pinter Theatre, J'Ouvert originated at Theatre 503 in a co-production with Bad Breed and Tobi Kyeremateng.

A new Royal Shakespeare Company production for 2022 of one of Shakespeare's best-loved romantic comedies, filmed in Stratford-upon-Avon. In a colourful world where anything feels possible, two very different couples fall in love. With dastardly plots, hilarious slapstick and some of Shakespeare's wittiest dialogue, Roy Alexander Weise directs this classic tale of matchmaking and manipulation.

S02E03 - Isla Air Date: 12 June 2022 20:00 -

Sorry, but right now we don't have any sources for this episode.

Soon there will be more voice-activated digital assistants than people. All are female gendered. Roger needs company and he doesn't want a dog. When his daughter Erin buys him the latest Isla digital assistant, an unexpected relationship between man and technology emerges. But who's really in control?

This thought-provoking, and at times troubling, dark comedy written by playwright Tim Price has been adapted for television following its world premiere at Theatr Clwyd in North Wales. It was helmed by the theatre's artistic director Tamara Harvey and stars Mark Lambert as retired teacher Roger, who is struggling with lockdown following the death of his wife.

Lisa Zahra plays his concerned-but-busy daughter who thinks a smart speaker is the perfect home help for her lonely dad, but never imagined it would lead to a visit from the police as well as surprising and sometimes upsetting revelations from his past. Expect laughs, technology-induced frustration and some strong language.
