A unique show from creator Rod Lurie about the life of the mob and the FBI. While the mob boss, Jonah Malloy is trying to run his business away from the interference of the FBI, the FBI is trying everything to bring down his terror team. What Malloy doesn't know is that he has a FBI undercover, Roy Ravelle, working for him. Lisa Cohen heads the FBI team, which also include Paige Van Doren, who recently lost her husband on 9/11.
On her first day as a Special Agent, rookie Fed Paige (Leslie Bibb) gets off to a bad start with her steely supervisor (Leslie Hope), while kingpin Jonah Malloy takes a new recruit under his wing after a death in the "family."
Cohen (Leslie Hope) puts her agents in place to intercept a shipment of drugs before Malloy (David Paymer) can get his hands on it. But the deal could go south after Roy pulls an inside job, and Janet uncovers her husband's plan to use a child against his own informant father.
Paige (Leslie Bibb) is sent undercover to catch a dirty judge with his pants down...literally; Malloy stoops to a new low to win his wife entree to an exclusive Virginia social club; and Amiel (Michael Irby) begins to buckle under the grief of his partner's death.
Roy (Anson Mount) gets disturbing info about a possible skeleton in his murdered partner's closet; Paige makes it personal after a pregnant fugitive wounds Jennifer; and Malloy uses his special sort of "influence" to help a college star get a baseball tryout.
Lisa's private demons threaten her professional life after a run-in with a potentially lethal lover; Jennifer faces a domestic drama of her own after catching her son beating up another boy. And Roy takes Amiel to task for the death of his partner.
The abduction of a 9/11 victim's daughter resurrects old demons for Paige, but more for the girl's mom once the kidnapper is caught. Meanwhile, Malloy sinks to a new low after hiring Janet's cousin to work in his bordello; and Roy gets a new roomie following Stubbin's fateful slip of the tongue in front of Jada.
Lisa (Leslie Hope) leads the charge after rumors of corruption among the Richmond police force surface. Meanwhile, Amiel finds himself in a sticky situation during a hold-up at a men's bathhouse.
Family matters haunt the good and bad, as Janet's cousin is roughed at Malloy's brothel; Jennifer's son is taken hostage at school; and Stubbin's boy winds up behind bars.
Todd (Jeffrey D. Sams) puts his political future on the line to investigate a civil-rights advocate's role in a decades-old lynching. Meanwhile, Roy's hired by one of Jada's hookers to settle a tragic family matter; and Malloy sets up a baseball-team owner to take a fall at the poker table.
Three immigrant workers are found dead.
Amiel interrogates people from Yemen who can be connected with Al-Qaeda. Meanwhile, Malloy is a jury member in a murder case related to a street band.
The involving drama concludes its run with a two-hour story in which Lisa (Leslie Hope) mobilizes her troops to nail the shooter of Jennifer's child, while Stubbs "takes care of" the man who raped Jonah's wife.
