He skipped Dublin when a gun was found in his house and he's been living for the past year in Spain but Darren Tracey decides to risk it and come back to Dublin. He's homesick and a party for his brother's release from prison is the perfect excuse. It's only for the weekend but sometimes life is full of surprises - especially if you and your friends are in gangland. When one of the gang is killed, suspicion runs rife and thoughts turn to revenge.
When one of his gang is mistakenly shot by a rival organisation, Nidge plays the diplomat... but a mad drunken Paddy's night slides out of control towards disaster.
Nidge sets out to persuade Dano he had nothing to do with his father's disappearance. Realising that a scapegoat needs to be found, he turns once more to Darren for help. Meanwhile, Siobhan struggles to cope with recent events.
Nidge struggles to remain on good terms with Dano, as his web of lies and excuses threatens to unravel. Siobhan confides in her friend Donna - but it is only a matter of time before the secret gets out
Pressure builds on Nidge as the leaders of Dano's organisation send an inquisitor down from the north to thwart him, and matters only get worse as his lies start to catch up with him.
Donna reports Siobhan's rape to the police. Detectives ascertain what happened to Git and prepare to swoop to arrest the gang. It seems only a matter of time before Dano will discover the truth, so Nidge struggles to hold everything together, while tensions between him and an increasingly volatile Darren break out into open conflict.
Nidge hides out in a dingy hotel, contemplating a new life in Spain, but knows it is only a matter of time before Dano and his gang catch up with him. As he sets off for a final showdown, wondering if the pair can reach a deal, a series of betrayals is about to be set in motion.
