The Benton City Council surprises the town residents by inviting "Real Housewives" icons Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan to help spruce up their small town that was devastated by the pandemic, which has a population just shy of 7,000
Luann and Sonja arrive in the small town of Benton, Ill. to help rejuvenate the town; the ladies receive a warm welcome, but when they move into their rooms at the Motel Benton, they are shocked by the lackluster accommodations.
With only a few days in Benton, Ill., under their belts, Luann and Sonja start working on their end-of-summer performance and have a wild night on the town where Sonja meets a potential love interest.
Luann and Sonja start to plan a happy hour at the motel to promote the business and increase tourism; on the drive to meet Sonja's new love interest, the women come upon a lemonade stand and help raise donations for the homeless.
Luann and Sonja host their first Crappie Hour; their success is short-lived when they break the news to the mayor that the playground isn't coming along as planned.
After cleaning rooms at the motel, Luann and Sonja head off to the local dog shelter to see how they can help. They also keep their promise to provide the town with a new playground.
Luann's brother Mike arrives to help Luann and Sonja with the motel renovations. With Benton Follies days away, it becomes clear that Luann and Sonja are on different pages creatively.
Luann and Sonja celebrate their newly renovated rooms and host a Christmas in July party to bring the town together. Luann continues to be frustrated with Sonja over the song they're performing, but a very special guest arrives just in time to save the day.
The day of the "Benton Follies" has finally arrived and Luann and Sonja are still at odds over the song they'll perform, but Luann's friend steps in to help. The following day, Luann and Sonja say goodbye to Benton.
