Madame Bovary

Gustave Flaubert's classic novel about a woman who commits adultery as filmed by the BBC in 1975. The series aired in four parts and starred Francesca Annis in the title role. It would air in the United States as an installment of the long-running PBS anthology series Masterpiece Theatre.
