Manzo'd with Children

Caroline Manzo goes to the ends of the earth for her children, even if it means bonding over a midnight visit to a haunted prison. Chris is writing a young-adult novel and has dragged the entire family along on his research. Haunted prison cells aren't the only things that have the Manzos on edge, though. Lauren tells Vito that she's unhappy seven months into their marriage, while Albie deals with approaching the age of thirty not even close to marriage. Later, Caroline is brought to tears during a heartfelt conversation with Chris.

Lauren is opening up a second salon and hires her brother Chris to direct a commercial for her new business that will debut at the grand opening party. Given that Lauren spent most of her savings on the salon, the stakes are high and doing business with family may damage their strong sibling bond. Meanwhile, Albie gives his brother-in-law career advice when he insists Vito attend an etiquette class. Caroline seizes the opportunity to tag along on Vito's adventure, but how will she react when the teacher shames all three of them? 

Caroline fears that although Albie has moved into a sleek bachelor pad, her eldest son is lonely. Caroline decides she must find Albie a girlfriend and recruits Denise Scalia and Chris to scour local bars and grocery stores for suitable bachelorettes. When Albie learns about this scheme, his temper flares at their meddling. Elsewhere, Lauren and Vito butt heads about their living situation and discuss starting a family.

While Caroline and Lauren stay home in Jersey to focus on business, the Manzo men and Vito meet up with Greg Bennett for some boys bonding in Las Vegas. Caroline's nerves are on edge as she takes her soap-making hobby to the major leagues at NJ's Sugarloaf Craft Festival, where she quickly realizes that she is in way over her head. Meanwhile, an angry Lauren stews over frustrations about Vito leaving town during an important time for her. Finally, Chris and Albie both find themselves in sexy situations that have the entire group gasping in disbelief.

Sick of hearing Lauren and Vito bicker over whose job is harder, Caroline calls for the newlyweds to swap jobs for the day. While Lauren spends time with Denise and Vito Sr. at the deli, Vito struggles at Lauren's salon. Meanwhile, Albie stresses that his career is taking too long to get off the ground, so he turns to his father for a heart-to-heart where he brings up a painful childhood memory.

After success with her first crafts fair, the sky's the limit for Caroline AKA "the Soap Lady." To move her business to the next level she has to push past her comfort zone and lean on Albie for support. The pair pitches Caroline's soap to a major grocery store and after years of parenting, this time Albie must tell Caroline what to do. Meanwhile, Lauren reaches her boiling point with Vito and gives her husband a firm ultimatum. Later, Albert is shocked when Caroline approaches him in a panic about her health. Stricken with fear, Caroline immediately seeks medical attention to determine what is wrong with her.

It's time for a Manzo family vacation so it's wheels up to San Francisco! First on the itinerary is to visit best buddy, Greg Bennett. Everyone is in great spirits, with the exception of Lauren who has a bone to pick with her noticeably absent husband. Meanwhile, Chris downloads Greg on a secret that he has been keeping from the family. Later, when Caroline discovers that Lauren is keeping a secret, she confronts the issue head on in an emotional conversation. And finally, the entire group gets a big surprise just in the nick of time.

The family vacation continues on Lauren's birthday and Vito has pulled out all the stops to plan a special day. Much to Caroline's dismay, Vito booked a zip-lining excursion high above a beautiful vineyard. Despite her fear of heights, unbeknownst to her kids, Caroline still fears the worst over an unresolved health issue. Meanwhile, after an unusual outburst from Albert, Chris struggles to tell the family about his plans to move. Later, Caroline pursues her dream and co-hosts a talk show in Los Angeles.

Albie's consulting business is booming when he scores Vito a million-dollar meeting with an investor for Vito's deli idea. But later, Vito exhibits shocking behavior, leaving Albie to wonder if the business deal will go up in flames, and their close relationship along with it. Meanwhile, Lauren stresses about finances, and Chris has an awkward conversation with Caroline about his future that turns into tears.

Caroline organizes a waterfront celebration for Albie's thirtieth birthday but it's clearly not a time of carefree celebration for the Manzos. Chris can't wait any longer to tell Albert that he plans to move, despite the heartbreak it will cause his father. Meanwhile, Caroline waits in terror for a doctor's call with her test results. Tension mounts between Albie and Vito, who have yet to resolve their huge blow up. And later, emotions run high when Caroline gives the family a dose of life-changing news.
