Million Dollar Neighbourhood

The town of Aldergrove, B.C., is facing financial ruin under the crushing weight of debt and overspending. "Million Dollar Neighbourhood" combines reality TV with social experimentation to give the community a chance to work together in order to raise its net worth by $1 million -- in 10 weeks. Each week, hosts Bruce Sellery, a financial adviser, and clinical psychologist Dr. Joti Samra present the citizens with two challenges: one for the community as a whole, and another for each individual family. To reach the million-dollar goal, the net worth of each of the 100 families must increase by $1,000 every week. If they make it, the neighbours will choose one deserving family at the end of the 10 weeks to be awarded a bonus prize of $100,000. (Source: OWN)
