Every 18 minutes, someone in Australia goes missing. In one state alone that's 23 people every day. This is real-life Without A Trace as you join the search for loved ones with the NSW Police Missing Persons Unit.
While it's not a crime to go missing, as time creeps by, the anguish of not knowing someone's whereabouts is heart-wrenching for those left behind and frustrating for those whose job it is to bring them home.
Each week, through the eyes of officers from around the country, this new series traces the last-known movements of four or more missing people and interviews their grief-stricken family members, piecing together a puzzle which will hopefully be completed.
For most, there will be a conclusive end to their search, as 99.5 percent of people reported missing are eventually located. But for the rest, those inconsolable few, there are just questions and more questions as they wait for the day when they finally get answers. (Source: Nine)
