Twelve years ago the hidden leaf village of Konoha was attacked by a giant demon fox with nine tails. The battle had been fought for a long time and casualties were many when Yondaime, most powerful ninja in all of Konoha, finally managed to seal the Nine-tailed demon fox inside a baby boy, Naruto Uzumaki.
Because of the demon sealed inside him, Naruto is feared by the citizens of Konoha. He is an outcast and his only real friend is his teacher Iruka Umino. Because of the hardships he has had to endure, Naruto develops a strong willpower. He spends all of his time training in order to prove everyone that he isn't just the 'boy with demon sealed inside him.' He aims to become Hokage, the strongest ninja in Konoha!
Naruto is an anime based on the popular manga of the same name by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto. It started airing in the U.S. on Cartoon Network's Toonami in September 2005.
