What if video gamers had the skills to get into a real car and make it as a pro race car driver? To find out, Nissan and Sony have teamed up to give gamers of PlayStation’s Gran Turismo 5 the chance to go from virtual to reality and win the dream job of millions. Over 400,000 gamers from all walks of life entered the competition through the PlayStation Network but only the top 32 faced off at the National Finals in July held at Comic-Con in San Diego. 16 advanced to the world-famous Silverstone race track in the UK to compete in a series of demanding challenges designed to test fitness, driving skills, reaction speeds and performance under pressure.
