No Ordinary Family

An Average, ordinary family, the Powells have been growing apart steadily thanks to Stephanie Powells successful career as a research Scientist and their kids becoming Teenagers. Jim Powell is the only one who seems to notice. During a family vacation Research Trip, (Which Jim forced his family to take) the plane they are in crashes into a river with strange flourescent water during a storm. The family safely returns home but doesn't seem to be any closer to each other. Eventually, Jim, Stephanie, Daphne and JJ discover that they have superpowers. Jim attempts to use his newly discovered invulnerability and strength to stop crime, but ends up being shot and injured by high calibre bullets and eventually ends up revealing his newfound powers to his wife, who has discovered that she has superspeed. They eventually reconcile and have a heart to heart talk, finally admitting that their marriage needs help. Meanwhile their daughter faces normal teenager issues, which are worsened with the arrival of her telepathy, enabling her to learn that her boyfriend is cheating on her. Initially distraught, she eventually accepts her new power. Meanwhile, JJ, who prior to the crash was of low intellect suddenly becomes a genius. The episode ends with the family spending more time together, playing and Jim and Steph visiting a marriage counselor.

Jim and Stephanie keep their powers under wraps, but it doesn't mean their abilities are dormant as Jim hunts for bank robbers and Stephanie goes back on her word about using her super speed. Meanwhile, Jim attempts to track down some elusive bank robbers, Stephanie looks into discovering the source of the family's newly acquired powers, and Daphne, trying to find a way keep the voices in her head from drowning out her ability to read minds, discovers that JJ has become a super genius but is hiding it from the family. Meanwhile Jim and Stephanie not only keep their powers a secret from the world but from each other too, as Stephanie discovers Jim has become a crime fighter and Jim finds out that Stephanie has used her new power of speed after promising not to. Detective Yvong Cho is suspicious about Jim. Jim tells Yvong Cho about his powers. She warns him. She comes back to her house and sees The Watcher, Joshua. He brings her up into the air and finally puts her down. He brings the gun to the air and aims it at her. He leaves the room. Then the gun shoots Yvong off screen. The Watcher calls Dr. Dayton King. The episode ends with King in Global Tech.

After Stephanie's ring is stolen during a robbery at a high-end wedding, Jim and George become wedding crashers in an attempt to catch the thugs. Meanwhile, after learning that assistant Katie misguidedly used her own blood to cover for Stephanie's company physical exam - fearing that the results would reveal her powers - Stephanie is forced to use her powers in order to retrieve the blood sample from a secure lab. Against her parents' wishes, Daphne wants to tell her friend Megan about her telepathic abilities after she inadvertently reads her mind and blurts out what she heard. JJ asks Daphne to scan the mind of a cute girl to find out if she has feelings for him.

Jim is mistaken for a vigilante while trying to protect people in the park at night. Meanwhile, Daphne uses her powers to get herself invited to a party she normally wouldn't have been considered for

Jim comes across someone else with powers, but isn't using them for the greater good. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Katie pursue the secret of Volson's research, Daphne telepathically learns a startling secret about a classmate, and JJ continues to try and hide his secret.

Jim's in-laws, Barbara and Allan, arrive for a surprise visit and Stephanie and Jim scurry to keep their powers a secret. However, they soon realize that something is going on. Meanwhile, Jim tries to track down some home invaders while trying to maintain his secret, and wants Daphne to help over Stephanie's objections.

Jim goes after a mobster who has plagued George for years, ignoring his friend's request to stay out of the case. Meanwhile, Stephanie disobeys Dr. King's wishes and tries to find out more about Volson's research, and Daphne asks JJ to use his powers to help her impress a boy.

Stephanie tries to determine why Jim has lost his powers; Katie gets a boyfriend; Mr. Litchfield catches JJ hacking into the school computer; and Daphne uses her powers to impress a boy. Jim gets his powers back and returns back to secret crime fighting.

Jim and Stephanie plan a romantic evening away from the kids to celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary, but instead find themselves teaming up and using their superpowers to deal with a serial arsonist who is exhibiting some special powers of his own. Meanwhile, Daphne and JJ are left home alone and join forces to win some big money in a poker game with some fellow students.

After George is mistaken as a hero for thwarting a robbery that Jim was responsible for stopping, tempers flare between the two friends when George thinks Jim is jealous of the attention he's receiving, and Jim feels that George is taking credit for something he didn't do and hogging the limelight. Meanwhile, Stephanie and Katie find themselves at odds over personal matters, JJ discovers a weakness in his powers, and Daphne's suspicions over Katie's boyfriend intensify.

After Jim saves Dave Cotten's life, he and Stephanie become fast friends with Dave, his wife, Michelle and their kids. But Jim begins to suspect that the Cottens may be leading their own secret lives. Meanwhile, Daphne throws her hat into the high school ring for student council president, and Katie reveals a secret to Stephanie about her relationship with Joshua - aka The Watcher.

Jim's wayward brother, Mike, makes a surprise visit to the Powell household and discovers the family has powers. But in an attempt to make some quick cash, he tries to convince JJ into using his abilities to win big by betting on the horses. Meanwhile, in a surprise twist, Katie is given a promotion at Global Tech by Human Resources VP Victoria Morrow, who may be hiding a secret agenda, and Daphne is placed on the school's peer disciplinary committee and believes a student may have been wrongly accused of possessing drugs.

While Internal Affairs officer Rachel Jacobs investigates reports of a rogue cop, Jim risks revealing himself as the prime suspect when the police station is overrun by a group of thugs, and he is the only hope of survival. Meanwhile, while trying to nurse an ailing Joshua back to health at the lab, Katie and Stephanie run into Human Resources VP Victoria Morrow and begin to suspect that she isn't who she says she is.

After a friend is attacked, Stephanie tells Jim that she wants to join forces with him to help catch the perp. But when Jim informs Stephanie that he's built for crime fighting - and she's not - the competition is on to see which one of them can solve the case first.

Dr. King orders Victoria to use her abilities to slip into the Powell home and kill one member of the family. Meanwhile, JJ and Daphne investigate the death of Natalie's mother.

Jim is chasing another criminal (under the directior of George) and corners the guy in an ally. In a panic, the thief starts firing the gun. While Jim easily deflects the bullets, and subdues the latest wrong-doer, a stray bullet richocets off the alley dumpster and hits an inocent bystander, causing life-threatening damage.

King's mysterious superior, Mrs. X, sends a super to seduce Jim and George with her ability to compel men to obey her. Meanwhile, Chris suspects that Daphne and her family have special abilities, and Stephanie has to compromise her principles to maintain her cover as a loyal worker for Dr. King.

The Powell's lives are in danger when a super-villain with animal-like powers is tasked by Mrs. X to eliminate the family. Meanwhile, good girl Daphne takes a rebellious step by ditching school with boyfriend Chris to attend a Sara Bareilles music video shoot. J.J. becomes suspicious of Mr. Litchfield's motives when he's presented with harder math questions compared to the others in the decathlon team; Katie makes a discovery about Joshua.

Stephanie ends up traveling to the future and seeing her family's secret revealed, and the consequences that result. Returning to the present, she tries to prevent the future from occurring. Meanwhile, Jim and George track down the criminal responsible for the death of a cop, and Mrs. X assigns someone to watch the pregnant Katie.

The mysterious Mrs. X kidnaps JJ for his super brain while George is imprisoned on a doomed plane. Meanwhile, the Watcher and Katie reunite, and Jim and Stephanie turn to King for help finding their son.
