Next Episode of Ozzy & Jack's World Detour is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Ozzy & Jack's World Detour stars heavy metal legend, Ozzy Osbourne and his son, Jack. In this new non-scripted series, the self-proclaimed history nerds hit the road in a father-son journey they've waited years to take. There will be no roadies, no tour buses and no boundaries. Just a bucket list of iconic and historically significant spots that includes Mt. Rushmore, Stonehenge, The Alamo, Roswell, The Jamestown Settlement and Sun Studios and a hit list of some fascinating sights and people that they've read about. From a Cold War era Missile Silo to Bletchley Park; from gold miner Rattlesnake Randy's stream of dreams to vintage tank collector Allan Cors' private museum of working war machines, Ozzy and Jack get their eyes and hands on history.
Ozzy and Jack are hitting the road, traveling the states from Florida to Alaska and everything in between. And they're doing it, per Ozzy's request, in a vintage 1973 GMC camper--the same RV Ozzy toured in with Black Sabbath when his career in America was just beginning. At their Key West starting point, Ozzy and Jack do some deep sea fishing, pay a visit to Robert the Haunted Doll (where they pick up a souvenir mascot to ride up front in their GMC), hunt for pythons in the Everglades, and drive by Mar-a-Lago, President Trump's Winter White House.
Ozzy and Jack are headed for a NASCAR race, but the vintage RV has broken down! In Georgia, Big Dave, a local racing expert, comes to the rescue, giving them a place to say for the night (in a truck cab) and teaching them the finer points of dirt track driving. Back on the road in a rental car, Ozzy and Jack barnstorm Georgia, visiting an Elvis museum, driving tanks, and visiting a handmade guitar diddley bow artisan before taking a plane to a NASCAR race in Texas, where they do the honors of announcing the start of the race before thousands of fans.
Ozzy and Jack are headed for disaster in the Lone Star state. At odds over the broken RV, they find a recreational way to let out their frustrations. Ozzy meets with a Texas-based Black Sabbath cover band, and then the boys find themselves in a bizarre game of bingo. Never ones to shy away from the macabre, the Osbourne men learn about the forensics behind solving murders.
After Jack reveals their new ride (a Mercedes RV to replace Ozzy's beloved vintage GMC), the guys turn north to Kentucky, into the heart of horse country. They spend a day at a show jumper breeding ranch, where they learn about every stage of the operation and meet a sperm-donating stallion named "Diktator." Then it's off to the medical oddities museum at Transylvania University. Finally, they walk through a life-size replica of Noah's Ark, complete with caged dinosaurs, before they reach Muncie, Indiana, where Jack has been a reserve police officer with the Muncie P.D. for many years. Jack is eager to show this part of his life to his dad, which includes traffic stops, K9 training, and a mock SWAT raid.
Jack and Ozzy take a trip down to Cajun country, where Jack's in-laws live in Louisiana. In New Orleans, they take a trip down memory lane with an old family friend from Ozzy's early touring days. Never ones to shy away from the eerie, Jack and Ozzy pay a visit to a French Quarter landmark and one of the most haunted houses in America. And finally, the boys partake in a classic bayou tradition--a good ol' family crawfish boil!
Ozzy and Jack head to Arizona for a family camping trip with one of the littlest Osbournes, Jack's daughter Pearl. It's nothing, but stargazing and campfires for the Prince of Darkness and his granddaughter. Jack's plans to take the family to the Grand Canyon go awry when neither Ozzy nor Pearl want to go. In Sedona, Ozzy seeks an unconventional, new age method of treating his neck. The men say goodbye to Pearl and make their way to Sin City to visit Ozzy's old friend and legendary rock star Billy Idol.
Ozzy and Jack are headed to Mars! Or at least the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah. As the men traverse one of the most beautiful states in America, they must also endure the long drive to San Rafael Swell, where the research station is located. Along the way, the duo visit Jack's survival expert friend in hopes of learning skills for any sticky situation. They also take time out from the road to spend the night in a native American teepee... complete with flat-screen TVs. When they finally make it to the research station, will Ozzy and Jack survive life on Mars?
Hitting the Pacific Northwest, Jack and Ozzy learn about competitive lumberjacks. Then Jack finds himself bed-ridden with the flu. So Ozzy steps up and visits a coffee roaster himself and gets super caffeinated. After Jack recovers, they visit an oyster farm and then visit a medium who has agreed to tell them if Robert the doll is evil.
Ozzy and Jack have finally made it from Florida to Alaska! They abandon the RV and fly to Juneau for their coldest adventure to date. After quintessentially Alaskan experiences like eating king crab, dog sledding and fly fishing, Ozzy plans a huge nautical surprise for Jack. But the curse of Robert the Haunted Doll returns when the Prince of Darkness loses his biggest, most valuable possession.
Aloha! After completing their cross-country adventure, Ozzy and Jack thank wives Sharon and Lisa for holding down the fort in their absence with a trip to Kona, Hawaii, also known as the "Big Island." With nothing on the schedule but relaxing family outings such as an octopus farm and a real underwater submarine, Jack and Lisa's two young daughters still manage to turn every moment upside down. Grateful for the trip, Sharon and Lisa plan a surprise event of their own for Ozzy and Jack - a luau that's mostly an excuse to get the guys dancing in grass skirts.
