Next Episode of Parlement is
unknown.
Samy, a young European parliamentary assistant arrives in Brussels a few weeks after the Brexit referendum. He is obviously not fit for the job. In fact, Samy doesn't know much about European institutions and he hopes to get away with it thanks to his wit and cleverness - Well, though luck: he gets quickly assigned an obscure mission : write a report on finning (the act of removing fins from sharks and discarding the rest of the animal). How do you get a report adopted at the European Parliament? Samy has no clue. He has six months to make it, six months to master the secrets of the Parliament. Powerful forces will work against him - to start with, a general indifference. Nobody cares about saving sharks - they are far less popular than dolphins. Samy embarks on a journey made of trials and sacrifices, alternating between psychodrama and comedy. For the first time in his life, he mustn't do his best - but his job. At the end of season one of The Parliament, Samy will have changed the world. Well, just a tiny bit, but still, Samy will have made a difference. And to be honest, there are not so many youngsters who can say so.
It's back to Parliament in Strasbourg. Samy tries desperately to find a new MEP, but only comes across clinical cases. When he finally sets his sights on the ambitious and newly elected Valentine Cantel, Samy upsets the cosmic parliamentary order. While Michel feels Samy's absence sorely, Rose returns to Parliament, this time in the camp of lobbyists.
Helped by Torsten, Samy has twenty-four hours to find the right candidate for the post of Speaker of Parliament, prevent a diplomatic crisis and above all escape the wrath of the influential Martin Kraft. All while babysitting his new MP, Valentine, eager to prove herself. Confronted with her first mission as a lobbyist, Rose must deploy all her ingenuity to discover the identity of a mysterious Eurocrat. After ruling out all other possibilities, Samy ends up finding the ideal president, however unexpected.
Samy is looking for the big file that will make the reputation of his boss, supported by an overqualified trainee who threatens to overshadow him. He must also learn the basics of feminism to be able to deceive him in front of the friends of Lydia, his ultra-woke girlfriend. Closely watched by Martin Kraft, Michel discovers his new role as president.
After the launch of their Blue Deal, Valentine and Samy must form the Parliament's negotiating team. But between the German deputy who always says no, the emotional and confused Swede and the Portuguese more interested in Valentine than in fish, saving the oceans promises to be more complicated than expected. Meanwhile, Rose hosts her first lobbyist event and must make her own compromises.
This is the first day of negotiations on the Blue Deal. To face the European Commission, embodied by Carmen, the alter ego and sworn enemy of Eamon, as well as the formidable Dutch diplomats, who represent the Member States of the Council, there are Valentine, Samy and their team of arms broken. Suffice to say that the game is not won. And that's without counting on the efforts of lobbyists determined to stop the Blue Deal, with Rose in the front line despite herself.
While the Blue Deal negotiations between Parliament and the Council are slipping, Samy is looking for something to make the Dutch give in. Behind the scenes, Eamonn and Carmen wage a ruthless war on behalf of their respective institutions. In the hot seat, Rose seeks to unravel the Eamon mystery to return to favor with her boss.
Just as Samy and Valentine believe they've found the perfect weapon to force the Dutchman's hand, they discover that they've actually slipped a pebble into their own shoe. Samy will have to choose between the Blue Deal, his conscience and his girlfriend. After an improvised speech, Michel tastes the joys of the popular plebiscite, which is not without worrying the upper echelons of Eurocracy.
The Blue Deal is on the verge of collapsing under pressure from the Germans and in particular from Martin Kraft. Only the Speaker of Parliament could salvage the case. Yes yes, we are talking about Michel… Still, Samy would have to manage to remove him from his guardians. Rose, meanwhile, has to brag about electrofishing, but is distracted by the prospect of a newly single Samy after his breakup with Lydia.
The final night of trilogue negotiations begins. No fixed end time. In other words, the last one standing wins. While a fierce fight begins with the Dutch around an obscure accounting story, Valentine is offered a ministerial morocco if she gives in. As the negotiations drag on, Rose prowls the halls, still looking to sell her electric fishing.

After Valentine's sacrifice of the amendment on the finning, Samy collapsed; is all hope really lost? His Blue Deal concluded, Valentine leaves for Paris to take up his post as Secretary of State. She offers Samy to follow her. This is the time of choice for the young parliamentary assistant: Europe or France, his convictions or his career, Rose or Lydia.
