Next Episode of Party Animals is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
Party Animals recreates the behind-the-scenes rough-and-tumble of British politics. Conservative politician James Northcote and Labour MP Jo Porter epitomise the changing public faces of their parties. But the real action centres on their aides. Dedicated researchers Danny, Kirsty, Matt and Ashika help the MPs score points against their enemies - whether adversaries are across the floor or on the same side. Meanwhile, lobbyist Scott finds the shifts in power at Westminster affecting his working life, with both personal and professional loyalties tested. The show takes a sideways, through-the-keyhole look at the way power is deployed and is laden with enjoyable cynicism. The characters are not especially nice people. Vulnerable, yes, though mainly when they fail to exploit others' vulnerabilities, and yet they're interesting. And given that Party Animals a fast-moving drama first and a civics lecture a poor second, it succeeds in telling a bit about the way Westminster office politics truly works.
Danny has to fight for his career after leaving a speech in a pub toilet, causing serious problems for Jo Porter.
Ashika visits Scott at the flat to cheer him up after Jake's death and he invites her to the New Statesman party.
Ashika is approached to put herself forward as a candidate for the upcoming Longton South by-election.
It's Jo's 40th and she asks Danny and Kirsty to organise an intimate birthday dinner for close friends.
Danny has to fend off calls from the press demanding a statement on the murder of a white prisoner by his Asian inmate.
James visits Ashika in Sedley as she prepares for her first big public debate.
Danny urges Jo to seek counselling for her drink problem, while Kirsty will stop at nothing to climb the political ladder.
Jo Porter has to perform well in the opposition debate otherwise her career is over.
