Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition

“Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition” was the 3rd in a continuing series of Philippines “Big Brother” shows. First it was “Pinoy Big Brother” quickly followed 1 day after the final was “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition” and then 3 weeks later this series. It official began on 23 April 2006 and airs every night in the same time slot of its’ 2 predecessors at 8PM on the ABS-CBN network. This installment was a little shorter then the other 2 in it lasted only 42 days long. The prizes included a condominium unit in Valenzuela City Philippines, a livelihood showcase, one Million Filipino pesos, and an all-expense paid trip to any Philippine destination. Over 30,000 teenagers appeared for the open audition to appear on the show with a total of 12 being selected to go into the house. The host of this series is the very beautiful actress “Mariel Rodriguez”. This series had a theme song that was written by a local group called the “Itchyworms” titled “Kabataang Pinoy" which translated into English means “Filipino Youth”. The winner of season 1 was “Kim Chiu” who was born “Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu” on 19 April 1990 in Xiamen, China. The date of when Season 2 will begin is pending on the length of its’ 2 predecessors.
