First, Nicole and Frank visit Luigi's Pizza in Park Slope, where second-generation owner Giovanni Lanzo is keeping his family's legacy alive after 50 years of business. Next, Nicole stops by South Brooklyn newcomer Lucia Pizza of Avenue X, before meeting Adam Richman at Williamsburg's wildly popular L'Industrie Pizza. From traditional, old-school slice shops, to innovative, chef-driven pizzerias, Brooklyn remains a true paradise for pizza lovers in 2023.

The restaurant's owner, Mark Iacono, has become a larger-than-life figure in the New York pizza scene—and a mentor to Pizza Wars host Nicole Russell. In this rare, intimate interview filmed in Lucali's backyard, Iacono tells Nicole and Scott Wiener how he took inspiration from legendary Brooklyn pizza-maker Domenico De Marco of DiFara, and ultimately created one of the most sought after pies on the planet. And later, Iacono teaches Nicole and comedian Chris Distefano how to make Lucali's legendary pizza during a special, hands-on cooking tutorial.
