Despite its location in a remote region south of the continent of Felnarc, the island of Clayborne is made up of five small countries crowded together and in constant conflict. In the most remote reaches of the smallest and most peaceful country on the island, the Kingdom of Bayle, is the small village where a girl named Nikola lives a humble life. One day, while she's out gathering firewood as she does every day, a massive dragon—a creature that's supposed to only live deep in the mountains—appears in front of her. Just as it's about to attack the village, a man named Haga rushes to the scene. Haga is a member of the King's Seekers, a top secret investigation team. Nikola has never once felt bored with her peaceful life, even when every single day is practically the same, but after meeting Haga, she's so intrigued by Haga and his travels that she decides to step out into the world herself... and then the learns the true nature of her world.
Nikola is content to live a normal life in her small, tranquil village... until the day a curious man named Haga arrives. Haga claims to be "investigating" the world, and his quest to do so will open Nikola's eyes to all kinds of unseen wonders!
After what she's been through, Nikola is now determined to join Haga on his quest to debug the world and become a King's Seeker herself! Haga has no idea what to make of this development, so he reluctantly agrees to take her with him.
After a nasty encounter with some fellow debuggers, Haga takes Nikola to the Advent Altar to teach her an invaluable lesson about abusing the power of the debugger stones.
Haga and Nikola stumble across a buggy forgotten village in the remote reaches of the country. There, they meet an interesting character by the name of Isora Amano who has some alarming information on the other debuggers.
Now that the evil debuggers have crossed him, Amano readily joins Haga and Nikola in the name of revenge. Their destination? The debugger's base: Bayle Castle!
The party works their way through the game's main story in order to get close to the evil debuggers.
Haga and his friends confront the evil debuggers at the main gate of the castle.
Amano receives an offer from an unexpected source, while Haga looks for a new weapon for Nikola.
Haga and the crew meet a new friend, and a very unusual boy...
Haga learns more about what happened to Gaydle, while the village fighters try to treat him as a threat.
