Based on the popular 80s comic book, former big-game hunter, Jon Sable returns to the States and takes up a career as a children's book writer. No one but his close circle of allies knows that he is also the mystery vigilante stalking the city and fighting crime.
Sable is asked to protect the next victim of a serial killer, whose trademark is a white rose, by the killer himself.
Sable goes after a hitman who is killing lowlifes using Sable's name, while his alter ego, Flemming tries to help an uncooperative teenage runaway.
A reunion between Sable and his critically ill stepmother, who he hasn't seen in years, is interrupted when Cheesecake needs his help against a neighborhood watch group turned racist.
Sable gets rid of his makeup as he helps a friend, a top thief, who fears for his life since a mobster is killing all the top thieves since his safe got robbed.
