Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat

In the land of China, a magistrate lives in a palace alongside his wife. However, living alongside the two of them is a family of cats, which are held in high regard by the common citizens of the empire. Sagwa, the eldest daughter in the cat family, lives her life alongside her siblings, all the while exploring the world and learning as much as she can about her purpose in life. When the magistrate needs assistance, the cat family is often called upon to perform calligraphy in order to make official scrolls, though due to this reason, Sagwa’s parents often insist that she practices the skill, much to her chagrin.
