The doctors at the North Carolina Zoo are swamped! A huge alligator, with a history of illness, needs blood drawn, and a ferocious lioness goes under the knife to remove a cracked tooth.
Keepers hope for a long-awaited sand cat kitten; a nervous puffin chick learns to swim; and rescued black bear cubs prepare for life outside the zoo.
Zoo vets treat seven pythons; orphaned otter pups go to fish school; and keepers rush to help Arctic foxes with mysterious injuries.
