The series follows the trial of Malcolm Miller, a man accused of kidnapping and murdering the governor's young son. A jury is Sequestered in a hotel where it has to decide Miller's fate, while his young lawyer Danny Firmin starts to put together what seems to be pieces of a conspiracy. Anna, one of the jurors who believes in Miller's innocence, is soon threatened.
A jury sequestered in a hotel struggle to reach a verdict in a sensational kidnapping-murder trial. In the opener, a juror is beaten so the judge orders the jury to be sequestered; and the governor learns of an old threat that has resurfaced.
Danny finds Sophia Russo and digs back into the Malcolm Miller case. His search leads him to an ex-juror, a gay bar and a new suspect. Meanwhile, Anna decides how to respond to her mysterious message.
Governor Bennett makes a confession that leads to a renewed connection; Danny overcomes his strained relationship with his father and asks for help; Anna finds a new ally in Ryan; an important discrepancy in the case is found.
Danny tells Nora about his discovery and is surprised to get help from his father; Anna confides her suspicions to Ryan; Hugh is followed but doesn't realize it; Anna witnesses something she wasn't supposed to see.
Tempers flare as the deliberations drag on; Anna and Ryan concoct a scheme to expose a juror's secret; Bennett takes matters into his own hands; Nora confesses to Danny, and he investigates Pritchard; Anna panics when she can't reach her sister.
The jury is reprimanded and reminded of the magnitude of their duty. Meanwhile, Joe's investigation takes him outside the law; Danny meets a new ally and a new enemy; Pritchard preys on Danny's weakness; and Helen finds something incriminating in her husband's office.
Anna snaps; Ryan catches Yvonne in the act; Pritchard is put in his place; Malcolm meets his new lawyer; Joe tells Danny that the jurors' votes are being leaked; Danny seeks help from his new friend.
Gov. Bennett conducts his own investigation into his son's murder; Danny and Nora discuss a secret; Jenny comes to a frightening realization about her captor; Charles gets a surprise call from home; Danny takes matters into his own hands.
The jury deliberation unravels and it blocks Anna and Ryan's progress. Meanwhile, Danny makes a confession that forces Pritchard into a drastic move; and Gov. Bennett continues his interrogation into what happened to the $80 million.
Danny receives some surprise help; Seth has an enlightened take on the conspiracy; Anna discovers she has both an enemy and an adversary; and the governor flips out.
After 10 days, the verdict is in; Anna searches for her sister; Keira reconsiders blind loyalty; Helen is privy to an unsettling discussion; and Danny and Kevin discover where everything went down.
The governor faces secrets from his past; Anna and Ryan continue to search for Jenny; and Hugh and Keira finish the job they set out to do. Meanwhile, Danny faces down danger as he unearths evidence that could save Malcolm Miller.
