Next Episode of Shorty's Dream Shop is
unknown.
Following custom car legend Javier "Shorty" Ponce and his Texas-based crew that designs and builds ground-up classic car restorations, the series showcases the Latino community's decades-long influence on car customization in America.
After losing a grandson in a terrible racetrack crash, Rick Wilson and his family want to raise money to promote safety at tracks around Texas. They enlist Shorty and the team to build a 1956 Corvette that will be auctioned off for their cause. Plus, the crew hopes for a sweet reward after undertaking the massive job of painting an AM General ice cream truck.
The '56 Corvette is completed, but not without a couple of twists. The family has decided to change the body color from red to arctic blue with a silver two-tone teardrop. Also, Shorty brings in some of the best in the business to collaborate on the '59 Biscayne Hood at a lowrider paint seminar held at Shorty's shop.
Shorty's is traditionally a Chevy shop, but this week, a Ford collector who's always dreamed of a Shorty paint job convinces them to take on his '71 Torino GT. But what looks like a pretty straight car is hiding a can of worms underneath. Shorty is doing full custom paint, with a hand-painted stripe instead of the stock decal, plus other details that would make Clint Eastwood smile.
