Next Episode of Sick of It is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
A middle-aged man recently ditched by his long-term girlfriend, Karl now lives with his elderly Auntie; his closest companion is the voice in his head, a misanthropic alter ego who takes the form of his doppelgänger. The uncensored true version of Karl says what he really thinks without the risk of offending others.
Karl and Norma are holding a wake for Uncle Vinnie at the house. So what better time for a delivery man to rock up with the new sofa? It's a replacement for the one Karl shared with ex Zoe, and he needs to get shot of the old one fast. But when he puts an ad online, he's given the runaround by Neil, a chancer who leads him further and further away from his uncle's funeral, and causes him to think carefully about trying to win back Zoe.
Next door's noisy baby is doing Karl's head in and keeping him awake at night, so when he picks up two mums and their crying kids in his taxi the following day, he loses it. His boss is far from happy (naturally) and sends him off to counselling for anger management. There, his therapist forces him to confront the issues he has with babies, as well as his reluctance to start a family with Zoe.
Karl needs some me-time and decides to escape Auntie Norma for a holiday in the middle of nowhere. All he wants is to be left alone, but when the locals find out he's on his own they make a point of reaching out to him. That means being pestered by his neighbour and having to shun a shop assistant's attempts to sign him up for anything from rambling to tandem mountain biking. With the cottage owner also sticking her nose in, it seems Karl will never get the peace and quiet he's after. Or will he?
Fluffy dice, fondue sets, wolf-whistling gnomes… it's time for Karl to declutter Norma's house before she falls over her piles of junk. But he lands himself in trouble when he accidentally gives a prized photograph of her late husband away to the charity shop. When all attempts to get it back end awkwardly, Karl and Norma head to Eastbourne in search of a replacement. But while Norma basks in her memories, Karl realises that things weren't quite what they seemed when he stumbles on a secret about her past.
Snubbing the Voice in His Head, Karl decides buying flowers is the only way to win Zoe back. But his plan to woo her goes out the window when he gets caught up in the lives of a father and his estranged son he picks up in his cab. His plans are further derailed when he's forced to make an emergency pick-up and gets stuck in traffic at the Pride festival. Can Karl overcome his doubts and these obstacles to buy flowers for Zoe? Or has he left it too late?
Suffering from a bad bout of constipation, Karl heads to the doctor to find out the only way to get things moving is to get over Zoe and start looking for love again. With a little help from Norma, Karl goes on a series of dates as he tries to loosen his bowels. But he's been out of the game a long time and finds himself constantly saying the wrong things. That is until he meets someone who doesn't understand a word that he says.
