The life of Léon, a semi-sighted teenager, is turned upside down when his mother dies. He finds himself parachuted into the family of his biological father, whom he does not know. Fortunately, he meets Florence, who will help him see further and more broadly, because just like him, she is different.
Léon lives in the region with his mother Marianne, who teaches him at home. A few days after a tragic event, Léon moves to Montreal (Canada) to live with Francis, his biological father whom he has never met. Fortunately, his grandfather Bernard accompanies him through this upsetting transition.
Léon goes to the high school to complete his registration with the principal. On the way, he meets the very intense Doris Boulerice, who takes her new role as a chaperone very seriously - A little too seriously, in fact. Florence is still hospitalized and makes Leon understand that she needs space. Ricardo sees his last chance to make the soccer recruiting camp fall apart because of Leon. Tension mounts between them, leading Ricardo to commit an act he didn't know was serious.
Leon is safe and sound, much to the delight of Florence and Ricardo. Ricardo and Bernard go to meet Violette to convince her to talk to Leon. It's Christmas; the whole family, joined by Florence, Doris and a surprise guest, gathers for a traditional holiday dinner.
