Sorry! is a BBC television sitcom, that aired on BBC1 from 1981 to 1982 and from 1985 to 1988. Starring Ronnie Corbett, created and written by Ian Davidson and Peter Vincent for the BBC, both of whom had previously written for The Two Ronnies, of whom Corbett was one half.The theme music was composed by Gaynor Colbourn and Hugh Wisdom, arranged by Gaynor Colbourn and conducted by Ronnie Hazlehurst.
An escaped convict, a female mud wrestler, vicars, tarts and a French maid, not forgetting the bootleg whisky, find their way into Timonthy's home. And then an Inspector calls!
Tim meets up with Jennifer, a girl from his past. Muriel is eager to play cupid and arranges a meeting for them. Mother attempts to scupper their plans.
Timothy attends an assertiveness training programme, and asserts himself with his mother; the results are rather surprising.
Mother makes Tim promise not to marry once she's dead. He does not believe she will die before he marries, so agrees. But shortly afterwards she appears to have committed suicide.
As his wedding day approaches, Tim discovers that marriages are not necessarily happy ever after.
Tim is about to break free from Mother's apron strings in order to tie the knot with Jennifer. Everything is organised. Father is back from Australia and Frank is Best Man. But will Mother let Tim go that easily?
