Still The King features Billy Ray Cyrus as Vernon Brownmule, aka "Burnin' Vernon," a scandal-ridden, washed-up, one-hit-wonder who was kicked out of country music, only to emerge 20 years later as the second best Elvis impersonator around. After crashing into an old country church sign during a drunken bender, he is arrested and sentenced to return and serve as the church's handyman as part of his parole. Along the way, he pretends to be the congregation's new minister and reconnects with a former one-night-stand, when he learns he has a 15-year-old daughter he's never met.
Newly released from prison, Vernon Brown helps Debbie plan a wake for Ronnie.
Vernon and Ronnie go head to head over which one will be the man of the house.
After growing sick of their antics around the house, Debbie demands Vernon and Ronnie find jobs.
Vernon's hometown honors him with a statue of his likeness and Vernon doesn't approve how it looks; Vernon recruits Walt, Charlotte and Doily to ``fix'' the statue.
Vernon readies his band for a big gig he doesn't have booked yet.
Vernon and Walt are forced to attend a parolee and parole officer team building weekend with Doily.
Vernon goes on a "date" with a former child actress to give her some bad girl cred. Meanwhile, Debbie takes a hungover Charlotte to work to teach her a lesson.
A TV movie is planned about Vernon's exploits and Trayne Crostown is cast to play him, so Vernon and Trayne spend the day together as Trayne researches Vernon's character.
Vernon tries to sabotage the TV movie about himself when he sees Trayne's portrayal of him.
Vernon scores a gig at a Predators hockey game, and Ronnie uses the occasion to propose to Debbie.
Vernon fills in for an absent Ronnie and spends the day helping Debbie plan for her upcoming wedding.
Much to his chagrin, Vernon discovers his manager has given his new single to another recording artist to perform.
It's Debbie and Ronnie's big wedding day! When Debbie's water breaks on the altar, Vernon races against the clock to be there for the birth.
