Next Episode of Suddenly Royal is
not planed. TV Show was canceled.
When blue collar, All-American auto repair advisor David Drew Howe decided to research his ancestry online, he never imagined that the shocking results would catapult him and his family into the most elite social circles overnight, in one word - royalty.Suddenly Royal follows David, his wife Pam, and 12-year-old daughter Grace on an adventure of a lifetime as they make the bold decision to travel 3,000 miles away to unveil what it really means to be heir to the throne of the British Isle of Man. TLC has ordered seven one-hour episodes. For the Howes, having noble lineage and even getting an invite to the Duke and Duchess's royal wedding is one thing, but convincing the locals they are the royal family will prove to be another story as the Isle's residents won't take kindly to an American trying to claim the throne. As David faces the trials and tribulations of winning over the people of Mann, Pam and Grace embrace the adventure, but must also adjust to living there - a far cry from the world in which they're familiar.
David moves his wife and daughter 3000 miles to find out what it means to be royalty and if the people of Man will accept them.
The Howe family's first day on the Isle of Man brings them face-to-face with skeptical locals. It's sink or swim for King Drew at the annual Tin Bath Race. Pam's role as a royal falls short when introduced to Manx hospitality. Grace pines for wifi.
The Howes undertake etiquette training to woo the upper crust on the Isle of Man. But, their makeover alone may not be enough to impress the Isle's most influential family, who could squash Drew's claim to the throne for good.
The Howes embark on an Isle RV trip but get an unexpected surprise. Pam hopes to redeem herself with the Women's Institute ladies. Drew realizes the family must move to the Isle permanently to be accepted as Royals. Now he just needs to convince Pam!
Lady Colin's insights force Pam to realize her behavior has been less than Royal. But just as Pam shifts her attitude in support of Drew and embraces her role as queen, Drew's antics on a radio show have her second-guessing their future on the Isle.
The Howes take steps for a long-term move to the Isle. Housing and income are at the top their "to do" list. So Drew pitches himself as a taxi driver, radio show host and "kingly" tourist attraction. Pam adds fire to her new friendships.
The Howes' 6 weeks on the Isle are over, but are they ready to go? Drew, Pam and Grace host a Royal Garden Party as a last chance to impress the locals and gauge support. It's the family's final test to claim the crown or leave the Isle of Man for good!
