Harvey Specter is the best closer in New York City. He's at the top of his game closing mergers, acquisitions and even divorces; it's in his blood. As a result of his success, Harvey is offered a promotion to senior partner at his firm, Pearson Harden. With that promotion, however, Harvey will need a little help. His boss, Jessica Pearson, has enlisted him in a hunt for a new associate.
Mike Ross isn't your average Harvard Law School student... he's not even enrolled there. But that doesn't stop him from taking the bar exam for Harvard graduates as a way to make money on the side. Mike is a prodigy; simply put, he's brilliant. He also has a photographic memory: if he reads something, he remembers it for life.
But Mike's grandmother is sick, and in order to help her, he needs to raise a lot of money. That's where his pot-dealing best friend comes into play. In a botched drug deal, Mike must escape drug-buying thugs. He serendipitously flees the scene and falls into a round of Harvey Specter's associate interviews. While Mike's in hiding, it doesn't take long for him to impress Harvey. And with that, the finest law duo in the toughest law town is born.
Mike gets situated at his new job at Pearson Harden, acquainting himself with those who will help him and those who will stand in his way. Harvey throws Mike his first case, a ''pro bono'' sexual harassment suit involving a CEO. But will Mike's need to raise twenty-five thousand dollars and his ''bad influence'' best friend get in his way? Season 6 begins immediately following the events of the shocking Season 5 cliffhanger that left Mike behind bars. After signing a plea deal to spare his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt, Mike will be confronted with the harsh realities of prison life as he starts his two-year sentence. Meanwhile, the once bustling Pearson Specter Litt offices are a ghost town – the partners have defected, leaving Harvey, Jessica (Gina Torres), Louis (Rick Hoffman), Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Rachel (Meghan Markle) to pick up the pieces. But the firm's troubles are far from over and they will have to deal with the fallout from Mike's crime before they can even begin to rebuild.
PSL faces a class action lawsuit from former clients; and Mike has problems with a fellow prisoner.
Mike tries to remain safe without breaking Danbury's unwritten rules; Jessica and Harvey try to land a whale; Louis searches for an office tenant; and Rachel faces a fellow student
Mike may take a deal to reduce his sentence; Jessica and Louis have different ways of dealing with their new tenants; and Rachel represents a death-row inmate.
Mike tries to gain Kevin's trust while Harvey enacts a risky plan; Jessica mends the firm's reputation; Rachel runs into a roadblock; and Louis enlists Donna's help in a matter of the heart.
Harvey defends Sutter from Cahill; Mike's past threatens to derail his mission; Rachel and Jessica search for evidence to re-open Bailey's case; and Louis woos Tara with a trip to the Hamptons.
Harvey, Louis and Donna search for a link to Sutter's inside trading; Mike goes to extremes to get Kevin on his side; and Rachel and Jessica deliver bad news to Leonard Bailey.
Harvey rebuts Cahill's star witness; and Mike tries to deliver one of his own. In other events, Jessica and Rachel try to delay Leonard's execution; and Louis adjusts to life as "the other man."

Harvey tries to repair a broken relationship - leaving Louis, Donna and Rachel to manage PSL in his absence. Meanwhile, Mike gets a helping hand from an unexpected place.
Rachel receives a letter that creates an unexpected issue for Harvey and Louis. Mike's mentorship of Oliver and Marissa gets put to the test. And Donna gets a surprise from the IT department.
Harvey and Mike walk a fine line when they partner on a class action; Louis needs Rachel's help impressing a client during an annual presentation; and Donna and Benjamin refine their product.
When Mike's class action hits a snag, it might cost him more than the case; Harvey, Louis and Rachel consider getting their hands dirty; and Donna and Benjamin seek an investor.
Mike needs Harvey and Rachel's help to overcome an impossible obstacle, or his dream of becoming a real lawyer is over. Donna's new venture hits a snag. Louis tries to patch things up with Tara.
